New Publication
For state and local government employees enrolled in family coverage through their employer, the average premium was $11,763 while the average employee contribution towards premiums was $2,058 in 2006. —From Statistical Brief 223: Employer-Sponsored Health Insurance for State and Local Governments, by Census Division, 2006.

New Summary Tables
MEPS releases a new series of medical conditions tables providing mean expenses per person with selected conditions distributed across types of services. The tables are customizable and are available from 1996-2005.
