Insurance Component National-Level Summary Tables

The national-level Insurance Component tables provide private sector data by firm size, industry group, and other characteristics; public sector data by government type, government size, and census division; national totals for enrollees and cost of health insurance coverage for both the private and public sectors. Insurance Component estimates are available online in tabular form. You can also use the interactive query tools, MEPSnet, to access statistics and trends about health insurance. Read Technical Notes and Survey Documentation for details on the collection of insurance data.

Please note, in preparation for improvements in the data collection process, 2007 data for the Insurance Component was not collected.

In November 2009, MEPS employer-based health insurance tables for State and local governments will be posted for the year 2008. This is eight months earlier than would have been possible without the data collection improvements.
