This public use data file is the twenty-second point in time data file to be released from the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey Household Component (MEPS HC). The data are being released as an ASCII file (with related SAS, SPSS, and STATA programming statements), a SAS transport file, a SAS V9 file, a XLSX file, and a Stata file. This public use file provides information on data collected on a nationally representative sample of the civilian non-institutionalized population of the United States during the early part of 2017. This file consists of 2017 data obtained in Round 3 of Panel 21 and Round 1 of Panel 22 of the MEPS Household Component and contains variables pertaining to survey administration, demographics, employment, health status, and health insurance.
