Doctors, Separately Billing
Description: Separately billing doctors are all individually identified physicians who treated the patient at the hospital, but who bill separately from the hospital facility. Typical separately billed doctor (SBD) expenses include fees for surgeons, radiologists, and anesthesiologists.
Data tables: No SBD expenses items are available in the HC Summary Data Tables at this time.
Analytic tools: You can use the MEPSnet/HC query tool to generate your own estimates for SBD expenses for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room visits/use/events. Select the Hospital Outpatient Visits, Hospital Emergency Room Visits, and/or Hospital Inpatient Stays variables within the Utilization, Expenditures, and SOP Variable Group of the Variable Selection Query Tab.
Publications: Publications are listed in reverse chronological order (most recent first).
