Description: |
|
Using data for the U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized (community) population from the 2003 Household Component of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS-HC), this Statistical Brief compares the population characteristics of Medicare beneficiaries having different levels of annual outpatient prescribed drug expenses. Estimates are presented in terms of the expense categories in the standard Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit in Medicare Part D (which began January 1, 2006). The expense categories have been deflated to 2003 dollars. |
